It happened again on 12 August 2026. In October 2026, my very old, beloved account, opened in 2014, was hacked from somewhere in the world and blocked.

I lost the history of my exhibitions, evidence of some art projects, connections with people met on my travels, memories...

I tried to fill out the special complaint form, made an appeal, verified my identity, informed [Instagram] support about the hack... nothing could help restore it.

I checked online and it looks like there are 2 billion users on IG, and who knows how many fake accounts, bots, and hackers trying all day long to access it.

I think cybersecurity nowadays is one of the most important issues to be aware of. As far as I know, it is basically impossible to be safe online. There is always a way to get in and hack you.

Yes, of course I had two-factor verification enabled, it did not work out.

Let's see how I will start once again. Because even if you change your phone number and email address, if you have the same IP (linked to your home address, not just your provider), there is no way to keep your new account — it will be closed.

Good luck to all of us. Having a business online is not as easy as it should be.

I love my life
